How to order

Making your purchases from Mobility Hire couldn’t be easier or safer! Simply make your selections online via the website by adding your item(s) to the shopping basket facility or give our friendly sales team a call on 0800 111 6234 and they will be more than happy to assist.

All orders require you to make payment in full at the time of ordering. We accept most major debit cards and credit cards plus payment by PayPal for all internet and telephone purchases.

All orders for delivery outside of mainland UK, including N Ireland, will be subject to different delivery charges of which you will be notified of prior to shipping of item(s).

VAT Exemption

You may be eligible for VAT exemption if you are chronically sick or disabled and you are purchasing products for your own personal or domestic use. Some charities are also eligible for VAT exemption provided the product is for a disabled person again for personal or domestic use.

To qualify for the VAT exemption you must ensure that you tick the VAT exemption box and complete the requested details including stating your medical condition on checkout. Provided you meet the criteria VAT will not be added to your order unless you are purchasing a product which has compulsory VAT. Any order placed without the ticked exemption will incur the VAT charge and will have this added to your total before proceeding with payment.

Completed VAT exemption declarations are accepted as prima facie evidence by Mobility Hire that a valid medical condition exists for the exemption under the VAT act, and so no VAT is charged on the purchased goods. If HMRC later dispute the validity of the medical condition stated then you will be liable to pay the appropriate VAT that should have been paid on purchase. Under these circumstances Mobility Hire reserves the right to demand that you pay the VAT amount that is due.


The majority of products for purchase on our website are guaranteed for 12 months by the manufacturer, this is included in the base price and so those wanting to make a warranty claim on their item(s) will be required to return the item to us themselves, or use our “Returns Collection Service” (see return collection charges).

We understand that this option isn’t always the easiest or most practical for some of our customer so we are offering an enhanced 12 months warranty when you select the engineered delivery. With this option we will give you 12 months worth of cover for an engineer to collect your vehicle and make in-house warranty repairs to your item up to 3 times. This will cover all parts and labour unlike the standard manufacturer’s warranty.

For an additional £60 not only will you receive the benefits that come with the engineered delivery but you will also have 12 months worth of cover for an engineer to attend on site to make warranty repairs to your item up to 3 times. If we are unable to complete a repair onsite for any reason we will even supply a loan item to you and bring yours into our workshop.

The warranty options are only valid if you maintain and use the product as directed and the product is only used for personal use by a single user. Please also note that any modifications made to the product will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty and our enhanced warranty options.

Our enhanced warranty options are not available outside of UK Mainland.

Pricing information

All prices shown on the website are the price of the goods and this supersedes any previous pricing unless stated otherwise. The prices on our website are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. All our prices are shown in Pounds Sterling.

Where an “In-Store Price” is listed it refers to the current price of the goods if purchased directly from our showroom and not online. There may be occasions where those prices and promotions differ and we are under no obligation to honour any in-store price that differs to those online. Equally we are under no obligation to honour any online price that differs to that in-store.

Any special offer or promotion may be excluded from the website unless specifically listed as available online. All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with another offer. Where we have more than one offer available on a product only one offer will be applied in the basket to give you the greatest saving. You cannot use a voucher code offer in conjunction with any other promotional offer we have running.

When you place an order with Mobility Hire you are offering to buy the item(s) from us and we will send you an order acknowledgement. Your offer of purchase shall only be accepted by us once it has been despatched. Up to that point we reserve the right to decline to supply the goods and not fulfil your order for any reason. In the rare event of these circumstances then we will refund the price you have paid to us.

The contract made between us and all our and your rights and obligations shall be governed by English law and any disputes arising under it shall be heard in the English courts

Damage on delivery

Please be aware that when signing for your delivery you are signing for the condition of the contents NOT the condition of the box. If you are unable to check the contents on delivery then please ensure you sign for the goods as unchecked/damaged so that the liability is taken away from yourself. If the goods are damaged and you do not sign for them as unchecked/damaged then the seller cannot be held responsible for the damages.

If your item(s) are damaged in transit you MUST advise Mobility Hire on the SAME DAY of delivery. After this time we are unable to claim from our couriers. Any damaged goods must be retained by the buyer for inspection. Customers may be asked to provide photo evidence of the damage sustained in transit to Mobility Hire.

Security and fraud protection

All our online credit or debit card payments are done in a secure environment using Secure Socket Layering technology (SSL). This means that any page on the website where you enter personal details such as credit or debit card information is sent to us encrypted to ensure it is safeguarded. Encrypting it prevents other internet users from gaining access to this information.

We have in place a number of measures to ensure our site and your details are as safe and secure as possible. When you send us any personal information, the link between your computer and our server is encrypted using SSL. Your card details are never stored onsite or in any human readable format, our computers use your card details to take payment automatically. When your online order arrives with us we encrypt your card data using AES, a worldwide industry standard. No employees have access to any sensitive customer information. Your full card details cannot be read by any staff when purchasing online, they can only see the last four digits of your card you have used.

Mobility Hire will on occasion contact you via telephone after you have placed an order online to confirm details of the order. This is to allow the order to be processed and dispatched promptly to you. We will never ask you to give out sensitive information such as passwords to log into your account. We expect you to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password.

Privacy Policy

Mobility Hire is committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information that we gather is for the purpose of verifying you as a customer, processing your order and providing you with the best service possible. We gather information from you such as address, phone number and email address. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date but if you find any incorrect information we will delete it or amend it straight away. The information we hold about you is used for various applications. It allows us to ensure the content from the website is presented in the most effect way for you and your computer. We can provide you with information; products or services which we feel may be of interest to you but only where you have consented to be contacted for this purpose. It also allows us to update you of any changes in our services that may affect you and to carry out our obligations from any contract entered into between you and us. We may also use your date to provide you with information about additional goods and services which may be of interest to you by post.
